As of January 1, 2025, Chiquita Canyon Landfill is closed for the acceptance of waste. Chiquita Canyon, LLC will continue to manage the landfill, including addressing the elevated temperature landfill event that is affecting the northwest corner of the landfill, as well as closure and post-closure activities. While active waste disposal operations have closed, we remain committed to working with federal, state and local regulators on the ongoing reaction mitigation efforts.
No Planned Flare Downtime on Thanksgiving Please be advised that there is no scheduled downtime for the flares on Thanksgiving Day. The alert sent regarding planned downtime on 11/27 was a routine, automatically scheduled maintenance.
