On Thursday, September 25, 2025, Chiquita may experience planned downtime of Flare 2 beginning at 12:30pm to swap out the flame arrestor. A main header tie-in will also be performed at the same time that may result in downtime of Flares 1 and 3 due to oxygen intrusion. This downtime is anticipated to last for up to 2 hours. Due to this downtime, there may be a possibility of increased odors in the community during the indicated time period.

Under Condition 81 of the Modified Stipulated Order for Abatement in Case No. 6177-4, Chiquita Canyon, LLC (Chiquita) is required to notify the community (i) if any individual control device has downtime which is anticipated to last 30 minutes or more or once any downtime for an individual control device reaches 30 minutes of downtime or (ii) if the downtime of any combination of landfill gas collection equipment results or is planned to result in a reduction of gas flow to control devices by 10% or more and the downtime is anticipated to last 30 minutes or more or once any downtime for such devices reach 30 minutes of downtime.
