Community Information Meeting – October 22

As of January 1, 2025, Chiquita Canyon Landfill is closed for the acceptance of waste. Chiquita Canyon, LLC will continue to manage the landfill, including addressing the elevated temperature landfill event that is affecting the northwest corner of the landfill, as well as closure and post-closure activities. While active waste disposal operations have closed, we remain committed to working with federal, state and local regulators on the ongoing reaction mitigation efforts.

Community Information Meeting - October 22

Pursuant to our Stipulated Order for Abatement, Chiquita hosts a one-hour community meeting each month following a month that we receive three or more Rule 402 notices of violation from the AQMD.

As a result of fewer than three NOV’s during the month of September, the community information meeting will not be held this month.

However, we will prepare and post a monthly community information meeting presentation for October. The link for this presentation will be found on the Odor Mitigation page at ChiquitaCanyon.com once posted.
