Tire-Derived Aggregate Used at Chiquita Canyon
Chiquita Canyon has also utilized tire-derived aggregate (TDA) as a substitute for gravel in its landfill gas collection system.  This project incorporated approximately 1,470 tons of Type A TDA, which diverted a total of 147,123 California waste tires from the waste stream.  The project was funded in part by a grant from CalRecycle.
